The Chakra Cards

There are eight chakra cards, and each chakra has seven qualities. So there are fifty six chakra cards in the pack plus one ‘Trifinity’ card.

Chakras

Root or Base Chakra

Mūlādhāra (मूलाधार)

Positioned at the base of the spine, the perineum

Element: Earth

Colour: Red

The main function of this chakra is ‘grounding’, as in the way that an electrical circuit is ‘earthed’.

The issues that it represents are safety and security at a personal level and community and environment at the general level.

As well as our immediate family, this chakra also represents our chosen family or adoptive tribe.

Sacral Chakra

Svādhiṣṭhāna (स्वाधिष्ठान)

Positioned at the upper part of the sacrum below the navel

Element: Water

Colour: Orange

The main function of this chakra is energy generation and Transmission . The issues that it represents are balance, sensuality, creativity, originality and growth at a personal level and evolution and acceptance at the general level.

Honesty to one another and your relationship with others. When this chakra is locked into in survival mode, we draw energy away from homeostasis and naturally occurring repair. When it’s balanced stagnant energy is renewed enabling healing.

Solar Plexus Chakra

Positioned just above the navel

The main function of this chakra is energy generation and transmission, it’s our powerhouse.

Honesty to oneself. ‘Honouring oneself’ is the best example of personal integrity an individual can make to society. Also representing confidence and self-esteem.

When balanced the solar plexus can transforms survival emotions such as fear, stress and anger into self-esteem, and inner balance.

Heart Chakra

Anāhata (अनाहत)

Positioned in the centre of the chest on the lower sternum

Element: Air

Colour: Green

Archetype: Love is Divine Power’.

The main function of this chakra is knowing the Divine, leading to love of the Divine. The issues that it represents are inspiration, correction and exploration at a personal level and universal love as expressed through compassion and connection, at the general level.

The heart is a profound electromagnetic center and the bridge to the creative brain. By activating the heart energy we give ourselves permission to feel and to heal.

When we experience loss we have a tendency to close our heart chakra for self-protection, this is quite normal. It helps to rebalance our heart energy to open ourselves up to the possibility of love, when our heart is in balance we have the ability to feel a profound loving connection to all beings.

Lunar Plexus Chakra

Colour: Aquamarine

This chakra balances the solar plexus on the other side of the heart and is sometimes called the ‘upper heart’ chakra. It represents our capacity to ‘feel’ truth instantly in an inspired way, without thought.

This chakra relates to the divine feminine symbolising a sacred, life-giving energy, reflected in nature as receptivity and nurturing.

The subtle presence of the feminine is reflected in nature representing receptivity, transformation and represents a universal, complementary energy that resides within every individual.

Throat Chakra
